Makaia was selected as one of the Students of the Quarter recently at Southwest Technology Center and she is the class secretary in the Entrepreneurship Program. They recently attended the DECA "Wrangler Your Why" Fall Leadership Conference and they have been developing their business skills at The Corner where they create and sell drinks and snacks.
